We recently bought the Adaptive Star Axiom Lassen Push Chair off Facebook market place when we were on a trip to Disney. I wish I would have found it sooner. I would 100% brand new if I had to because we love it!
We had taken our autistic daughter on a trip to Disney World and I had only brought her transport chair which is great for short distances and easily getting around. But it does not lean back and Claire gets exhausted easily and when traveling big like this naps are usually in her future! The transport chair just didn’t allow for that.
So FB market place and the sweetest mom who’s child had out grown and didn’t need the adaptive stroller anymore came to our rescue! We bought it from her and ended up loving it! Here’s why…
Adaptive Star Axiom Lassen Push Chair
The Adaptive Star Axiom Lassen enables families and caretakers to easily move from outdoor excursions to indoor appointments and everything in between. The Axiom Lassen features the traditional large rear wheels as well as two 6″ solid front swivel wheels. The combination makes it very versatile for families who don’t require a larger three-wheeled chair but prefer the ease and convenience of a multipurpose piece of equipment that can transport you from the park to Dr. and Therapy appointments.
The Axiom Lassen Push Chair is different than the Axiom Improv & Endeavour Push Chairs because it has standard swivel front wheels. The Axiom Lassen provides a mobility solution that accommodates older children to join you and your family for many outdoor or indoor activities!
Claire has cerebral palsy as well as being autistic. Her mobility and coordination is hard for her. We liked that this was not a “jogging” style with the one wheel in the front. We wanted her to be able to easily step up onto the front and be able to turn her self around to sit.

Is it right for you?
Not every stroller is made the same, but we fill that this would be a very universal stroller for many different children with disabilities. It is ease to maneuver, fold and pop backup. The wheels can be removed so that is can fold down fairly flat. However it is a larger stroller so it will require some room in the trunk or back of an SUV. You can see that photos of this in our rental van on our most recent trip.
We have really enjoyed using this adaptive stroller but mostly Claire has really enjoyed it and being able to use it while on vacation has made it even better. We recently traveled through the airport with it and because she is not able to walk long distance or at a faster pace, we utilize it as a medical wheelchair for her. When flying with American Airlines and using TSA Cares we are able to take this directly to the gate and down to the plane with us. We fold it up and then when get off the plane they have it waiting for us. Being able to do that with this stroller although it is large, it is easy to fold down when traveling.
I encourage you to goto your local medical supply/equipment store in you area and see if this style is something that could work for your family. A lot of times even therapy locations that your child may attend may know more on different adaptive strollers that would suit your family’s needs best! But for us, this one has been great!
